Costa Rica Adventure 10D/9N
Day 01: San José Upon your arrival to the International Airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Presidente hotel. A four-star, 100-room hotel in the heart of San José downtown, Costa Rica, Presidente hotel is located on the corner of the Central Avenue Pedestrian Boulevard and Seventh Street, just 20 minutes from Costa Rica International Airport (SJO). Day 02: San José / Puerto Viejo beach Breakfast. Shuttle bus transportation to Puerto Viejo in Limón. Overnight at Azania Bungalows. Designed and crafted in a unique style that blends traditional materials, exotic woods and thatched-palm roofs, with a modern building concept, each bungalow has a particular atmosphere. Day 03: Puerto Viejo beach/ snorkeling in Cahuita National Park After breakfast we will pick you up to enjoy a snorkeling tour in Cahuita National Park. When we arrive to Cahuita we will receive the necessary equipment to start the snorkeling on the reef. Then we will take a boat to the littoral of the National Park. When we arrive to the reef we will enjoy the beautiful aquatic world for aprox. 2 hours. After that we will have lunch and later we will do a hike through the trails of the National Park to return back to Cahuita where the car will be waiting for us. The tour includes transportation, local guide, fruits and beverages, guided walk through Cahuita National Park and snorkeling equipment. Overnight Azania bungalows. Day 04: Puerto Viejo Beach Free day to enjoy the area and the beaches around like Punta Uva and Punta Cocles. Overnight at Azania Bungalows Day 05: Puerto Viejo beach/ Arenal Volcano/ Tabacon Hot Springs We will pick you up at your hotel and stop for a delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast along the way. Once we arrive at the verdant banks of the Pacuare River, our professional guides will instruct you on paddling techniques and safety procedures before you don your helmets, grab you paddles and climb aboard the inflatable rafts for an unforgettable adventure. The Pacuare is a swift flowing river that offers visitors a unique and exciting rafting experience within one of Costa Rica’s most unspoiled wilderness areas. In fact, expert rafters call the Pacuare one of the world’s best white-water runs. Lunch on the way, then you will be transferred to Arenal area. The very active Arenal Volcano frequently emits sounds of violent explosions, attended by clouds of gray, brown, and orange gases. Overnight at Arenal Paraíso Hotel. Day 06: Arenal Area Breakfast. Free morning to enjoy the hotel facilities, at afternoon, walking tou in Arenal Volcano area and visit to Tabacón hot springs, where the hot springs flow from the veins of the splendorous and active Arenal Volcano. Enjoy this natural wonder of Costa Rica and soothing feeling in any of mineral pools and naturally warm waterfalls. Buffet dinner. Overnight at Arenal Paraiso Hotel. Day 07: Arenal/ Monteverde After breakfast, you will be transferred to Monteverde Cloud Forest, where you may spot birds such as the silvery-throated jay, spangled-checked tanager, black-thighed grosbeak, and the yellow-throated finch. Free afternoon, we recommend you to visit Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, one of the richest and most diverse tropical cloud forests in the world. Overnight at the Trapp Family Lodge. The nearest hotel to the famous Monteverde Cloud forest Reserve, the Trapp Family Lodge offers the feeling of being in the middle of a charming cloud forest. The mountain suites have a spectacular view to the Monteverde Reserve. Day 08: Monteverde Cloud Forest After a delicious early morning breakfast, you will be taken to Selvatura walkways; it’s an unforgettable experience, the excitement of looking to one side and seeing the tops of the trees and at the same time feel the sensation of walking among the clouds. Selvatura walkways is a unique system of suspension bridges that zigzag through deep canyons at the level of the treetops. Then enjoy and feel the adrenaline at the canopy tour. Free afternoon. Overnight at Trapp Family Lodge. Day 09: Monteverde Cloud Forest/ San José Enjoy breakfast, then you will be transferred from Monteverde to San José. Day 01: San José
Upon your arrival to the International Airport, our driver will pick you up and transfer you to Don Carlos Hotel, it is located in the oldest historical section of San José, the ‘Four Star’ Hotel Don Carlos is a small, but significant part of Costa Rica’s rich heritage. Once upon a time residence for two past Presidential families, the Hotel Don Carlos’ warmth and charm, graciously awaits you. The hotel offers restaurant, bar, mini pool, massages, yoga , free internet 24 hours, wireless internet connection, and gift shop. Day 02: San José/ White water rafting Tour to Pacuare River: The first day we will run 13kms (8 miles) of continuous class III white water for a total of 14 rapids. Then we will arrive at Pacuare Tent Camp shortly past noon, on time for lunch. Afternoon activities include various optional hikes, fishing in the river, or relaxing in a hammock. Day 03: White water rafting/ Arenal Volcano The second day begins with a hot, freshly brewed cup of Costa Rica's famous coffee. After a hearty breakfast is served and we pack our gear, our river descent continues. The second day is significantly longer on the river, with 23kms (14 miles) to travel and about 30 rapids. Two stops are made, one for a nice exploratory hike and another one to have lunch on the river. then you will be transferred to Arenal area.
