Tortuguero National Park offers high biodiversity, we can find more than 400 species of trees and also an enormous diversity of fauna that includes endangered species of mammals such as jaguar, ocelot, manatee, tayra, sloth, three species of monkeys and tapir. One of the park’s main attractions is the sea turtle nesting. Tortuguero is the place where the four turtle species of the Caribbean Sea come to nest. These species are the giant Leatherback turtle, Green turtle (2nd in size and the most abundant in the park), Hawksbill turtle (brown color), and Loggerhead turtle (the smallest in size and threatened around the world due to the value of its shell used to produce art crafts).

Itinerary:
Day 01: Pick up early in the morning at major hotels in San José. Admire the biodiversity of an astonishing protected area in Costa Rica as we drive by Braulio Carrillo National Park, a primary forest in 95% of its extension. Have a taste of our delicious Costa Rican breakfast in route. Be our special guest in a banana processing and packaging plant and learn more about one of Costa Rica’s prime products (subject to availability).Board a comfortable boat upon arrival to the port and let this extraordinarily exotic paradise enchant you, as you travel along the Tortuguero Canals. Have a one-in-a-lifetime experience in this unique place surrounded by a great variety of flora and fauna of breathtaking beauty. Enjoy a delicious lunch at your lodge. After lunch, we will visit the museum, the beach area and the small and picturesque town of Tortuguero. A delightful dinner will be served upon arrival to the lodge. Optional Night Tour: Walk on the beach and admire the green turtles nesting (July through September)

Day 02: Optional morning tour: Enjoy nature at its best as you undertake a journey through the canals at dawn, and take your best shots of a real Caribbean sunrise.Breakfast at your hotel. Transfer from the lodge to San José by boat and bus. Lunch.

Tour to South Caribbean: Puerto Viejo - Cocles Beach 3D/2N
Explore the rain forest in the South Caribbean Coast, walk and enjoy Puerto Viejo beach and get to know the culture of the area.

Itinerary:
Day 01:          Transfer from San José to Puerto Viejo Beach with the shuttle bus.Free afternoon in the beach. Enjoy any of the optional activities (not included in the rate). Overnight at selected Hotel.

Day 02:           Tour to Cahuita National Park: enjoy a trip to the jungle and be part of the experience to snorkeling in the Coral Reef. Overnight at selected Hotel.

Day 03:           Free morning. At afternoon, departure to San José with the shuttle bus

Pacuare River Rafting tour 2D/1N
Enjoy and feel the adrenaline in two days of Pacuare river rafting

Itinerary:

Day 01: The first day we will run 13kms (8 miles) of continuous class III white water for a total of 14 rapids. Then we will arrive at Pacuare Tent Camp shortly past noon, on time for lunch. Afternoon activities include various optional hikes, fishing in the river, or relaxing in a hammock.

Day 02: The second day begins with a hot, freshly brewed cup of Costa Rica's famous coffee. After a hearty breakfast is served and we pack our gear, our river descent continues. The second day is significantly longer on the river, with 23kms (14 miles) to travel and about 30 rapids. Two stops are made, one for a nice exploratory hike and another one to have lunch on the river. We finish in Siquirres, at our own private Exploration Center where you can take a shower, change and enjoy the gardens and terrace and then return to San José.
